Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This replaced a much smaller panel on my electric fence. Although under no load the voltage is much higher than 12vdc, when connected to my controller/battery the output is about 14vdc. No more dead battery during lengthy rainy periods.
Customer Review: Decent sunshine has not been in the forecast lately so I will be following up with a power report as today I was getting a total of 6.6W. Looking at the listing I do not see the specifications for the panel so I’ve posted a pic with that, here are the main stats most people would want before purchasing: VoC: 24.59V, Isc: 2.51A, Temp coefficient VoC: -(0.40+/-0.05)% °C, Dimensions: 22.83″ x 19.69″ x 1.38″, 7.05 lbs. Panel arrived double boxed (product box inside Amazon box) and within the product box the panel had an air tube pack to protect it as well as corner plastic reinforcements (Which unfortunately cover some of the cells but could be cut down if you want to leave them on for temp/portable use). Frame is protected by plastic film. Has the feel of a generic panel with a Flying Lion label slapped on it. No documentation or any information beyond the label was in the box. Frame appears to be properly secured to the panel with no play/looseness noted. Silicone sealing on the backside is clean and consistent. Junction box is your typical generic small panel junction box with a single bypass diode. Cell layout appears to be 36 cells in a full series configuration so likely will not perform well if it gets any shading at all.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: Unboxing was quick and easy, with foam placed between the panels to prevent scratches. Packaging was solid without going overboard. Build quality is strong and the frame feels sturdy and has already held up against SoCal winds with no problem. Setup was completely plug-and-play, which made things simple. In terms of performance, I’ve yet to see more than ~125W per panel, but in my experience no solar panel ever truly reaches its listed maximum. Heat levels are high (as expected for panels), but they remain durable. Mine double as the roof for a custom-built “Catio” and they allow just enough light through that my cats can enjoy the sun without overheating. Compared to other panels I’ve used, these are pretty average in terms of power and heat output, but they offer good value for the money, especially with free shipping. Overall, I’d recommend them. Just don’t expect the full 200W per panel (or honestly, any panel).
Customer Review: This panel is now part of my offgrid solar array. Works exactly as it should with the voltage and amperage, and charges my battery bank like a charm. Portability of the panel is good, since it is still small and lightweight enough for me to move around.

Customer Review: Below is my original review. I thought it would be best to post an update for those that are considering these panels. I’ve had them for enough time and through a season to update with real specs: See my photo! These panels deliver FULL wattage to your storage and loads. I have these in series/parallel for my 24v controller and inverter. It’s summer 2024 and the other day we had a power outage affecting 5k homes in the area. My shop was running as if nothing happened. Full on AC, compressor, lights, power tools, chargers. These panels pushed 15a @24v with no problems. The panels are staggered in age yet they all perform the same and deliver to my storage array and grid. 4 of these are enough to power my shop for 6+ hours. The next day, my storage was full by 8am. Granted this is summer, however this is the ideal time to rate these and judge them for what they can do. Some other reviewers state they don’t deliver but I can assure you that my panels deliver equally, efficiently and are working well with the environment they are in. I hope this update helps inform you to the longevity of these panels. I purchased these panels 2 at a time last summer and I now own 8 total. It’s been more than six months post deployment and I have to say that I am extremely overjoyed by the results of these panels. One did arrive completely shattered but the customer support is amazing and I had another panel on my door in a few days. These are durable to a point but they are made of glass so if you get a broken one, don’t sweat it! I configured my panels to work as series/parallel to a solar combiner box. From my solar combiner, I send the combined power to a controller that then sends the power over to a bank of LiON batteries @1200ah 24vdc. In turn, a mega beefy 240v@60hz inverter draws from the batteries at 24vdc and sends two phase AC over to the ATS (Auto Transfer Switch) that controls the balance between line and inverter. This winter, the biggest draw was my electric shop heater which runs on a timer. Most of the winter months, I managed to see a daily use of pure solar to power my entire shop. Only a few days in January did I see the switch trip over to line power. Thanks to these panels, I can run my shop exclusively on solar! My compressor, lights, tools and even my welder all are powered by solar! The whole situation would be impossible if it were not for the affordable cost of these panels. I plan to add a few more and push my luck with charging an EV using solar. I just need more storage and I’m golden! This is a fantastic purchase and the price is cutting the competition in half!

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many watts do I need for my caravan’s solar panel?
A: The required wattage depends on your power consumption. A 100W panel is a common starting point for basic needs like charging phones and powering lights. For heavier use, like running a fridge or inverter, you might need 200W or more, potentially combining multiple panels.
Q: Is it worth getting a bifacial solar panel for my caravan?
A: Bifacial panels can be very beneficial, especially if you can position them to reflect light off the surface below them. They can offer a significant boost in energy generation compared to standard panels, making them a great investment for optimizing power, particularly on flat surfaces like a caravan roof.
Q: Can I install a solar panel on my caravan myself?
A: Yes, many caravan owners successfully install solar panels themselves. It typically involves mounting the panel securely to the roof and running wires to a charge controller and battery. However, if you’re not comfortable with electrical work, it’s best to seek professional installation.
Q: What maintenance do solar panels for caravans require?
A: Solar panels are relatively low maintenance. The most important task is keeping them clean; dirt and debris can reduce their efficiency. Periodically check wiring connections and ensure the panels are securely mounted.
Q: How do I connect a solar panel to my caravan battery?
A: You’ll need a solar charge controller between the panel and the battery. The controller regulates the voltage and current from the panel to safely charge the battery, preventing overcharging and damage. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific setup.
Investing in the best solar panel for caravan life is an investment in freedom and self-sufficiency on the road. With the right setup, you can enjoy extended trips, power all your essential devices, and reduce your environmental footprint.
