After our barn cat delivered us a baby squirrel, we became accidental wildlife rehabbers. He lived inside in a cage for about 6 weeks. When it was time to move him outside, we put the cage inside this insulated bag, mounted it on an oak tree, added a roof, and hoped for the best. This bag is AMAZING. It blocks wind like a champ and stays about 35° warmer inside at all times. It’s thick, sturdy, doesn’t collapse, and doesn’t flap around in the wind. The squirrel is warm, dry, and thriving. It’s very roomy and his cage fit perfectly. As for the zipper quality, we have the flap folded over the back as a double barrier from the north wind, but it seems good, and strong.
