I used the red hoist line rather than the black. The red color made it easy to identify among the branches and trees. I also used the alert bell that clasped onto the bag as a warning against food thievery. I really appreciated that added feature included in the set. I thought the material was sturdy and a bit heavy, but perhaps it needs to be. Definitely better than the weight of a bulky bear canister and it was easier to mold into my backpack. Overall, I was very pleased and recommend it. The one disappointment that ended up not being an issue was the opening doesn’t have velcro or another form to seal the top against food odors. It just rolls closed. Regardless, the item was well made and worth the money considering the extra thoughtfulness of the designers and packagers. It was perfect for the purpose!”

Customer Review: “This 10L dry bag is nice and thick with a waffle, bumpy interior. I’m using it on my rear rack for bikepacking to carry my tent, fly, ground sheet, pad and pillow. It’s a little larger in diameter, thicker, and shorter than the Osah 10L dry bag. It appears to be more rugged too due to the thickness of the material. I’ve taken it on several rugged bikepacking trips strapped to my rear rack, and it shows virtually no signs of wear. No dust or moisture got inside while in transit so it does its intended purpose very well. I’m packing an ALPS Lynx solo tent into it with everything wrapped inside the tent. It fits well with just a bit of diameter to spare making it easy to get the whole bundle in and out of the bag. Total weight is somewhat over 6 lbs and the Ocean Pack bag handles being strapped down tightly very well. No complaints at all with this product and I feel it will last for many more trips to come.”

Customer Review: “Updated: I still don’t know about critter protection as there weren’t any critters attacking the bag, but I can verify that it is a great waterproof bag. 13 miles of whitewater that had unprotected gear (or gear in “water resistant” bags) soaked, this bag kept the medical kit and some electronics perfectly dry. I used another bear bag that was also protection for some other gear, but at 5 times the weight, I\’ll stick with this lightweight offering in the future. Don\’t worry, get this food bag! I\’ve got bear bags and they have one thing in common, they are HEAVY. Now, we\’ve got some black bears in our area, but they aren\’t the primary concern when we\’re camping. I\’ve got more interest in keeping food away from racoons, coyotes, fox, and the like.
