Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “I have two of these now, the one on the left in the picture is my first purchased in 2021 (still going strong!). It is the one that requires assembly that I purchased on Amazon. I agree with some commenters regarding the location of the connection nut and bolt on the handle, but it’s not a show stopper if you have gloves on. I would still buy it again, and actually thought I was when I purchased the other one (on the right in the picture). The other one in the picture has a one-piece handle and came assembled. It’s the model SC2700. The bucket/steel strip is identical, with the only difference being the handles. The new one-piece seems robust and I am not worried about it breaking, but we’ll have to put it to the test to be sure. These AREN’T made for chopping ice or putting your boot down on the backside like a regular steel shovel, so if you do that expect breakage. I bought the SC2700 on another site as it wasn’t available on Amazon at the time; as I said, it comes assembled and ready for action. I purchased it in case I have assistants helping me with the shoveling and wanted to prevent the complaint of “you have the good shovel”. Now we’ll all have the good shovel. They’re not “lightweight” shovels despite so many people using that word, but I guess weight is subjective based on one’s own strength. It’s not super heavy, but it’s surely not lightweight, which is good in my opinion. Add either one of these (two-piece handle or the one-piece SC2700) to your snow clearing equipment and you’ll be glad you did. Happy shoveling.”
Customer Review: “This is an awesome snow shovel. When they are back in stick I will buy another just like it.”
5. Yocada 55″ Long Snow Shovel with D-Grip
The Yocada 55″ Long Snow Shovel is designed for those who prefer a longer handle. This can be beneficial for reducing the need to bend over as much, easing strain on the back. It features an ergonomic dual handle for better control and comfort, and its wide blade allows for efficient snow clearance. This could be a great option for seniors who need a bit more reach.
Key Features That Stand Out
β 55″ long handle reduces bending
β Ergonomic dual handle design for comfort and control
β Wide 16-inch shovel blade for rapid snow clearance
β Detachable design for easy storage
Why We Recommend It
The extended handle is a key feature that makes this shovel stand out for seniors. It promotes better posture during shoveling, potentially reducing discomfort. The dual grip adds stability, making it a more controlled tool.
Best For
Seniors who benefit from a longer handle and improved ergonomics to reduce back strain.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Long handle is excellent for reducing bending
- Dual grips enhance stability and control
- Wide blade makes clearing faster
- Easy to assemble and disassemble
Cons:
- Plastic construction might not hold up to very heavy or icy snow
- Some users reported minor wobbling in the joints
Customer Reviews
Customer Review: “It works for what it is and the price. But i have to give it 4 stars due to 2 things. First is it came with a nick on the metal scraper end and 2nd is there is a wobble on the joints so it doesnt feel solid when you shovel. But it works as i said and since we rarely get snow here in the South, it should last me a while.”
Customer Review: “This snow shovel is easy to assemble, and works fairly well for clearing snow quickly. The wide 16-inch blade helps move a large amount of snow at once, but the shovel is plastic and not very sturdy. The adjustable handle length and ergonomic D-grip make it comfortable to use and reduce back strain. The iron handle feels strong but still lightweight, and the detachable design makes storage easy. Overall, itβs just an okay shovel for winter snow removal.”

Key Features That Stand Out
β Ultra-lightweight design (1.45 lbs)
β Innovative 3-fold design for maximum portability
β Sturdy aluminum alloy handle
